Univercells SA brings together a group of Belgian and global biotech affiliates working together under a common mission (the “Group”). Each division of affiliates operates a different part of the healthcare value chain, through a distinct business model:
- Exothera is a Contract Manufacturing and Development Organization (CDMO) for biologicals, mainly vaccines and viral vectors, with GMP production facilities in Belgium and offering process development and optimization services.
- Unizima delivers international project management of technology transfer, alongside operational support services (quality, supply chain, digital) and bioproduction training programs, as well as care centers and diagnostics surveillance centers.
- Quantoom Biosciences develops open, integrated and affordable manufacturing platforms (RNA as flagship) to enable the production of vaccines & therapeutics that scale from development to mass production.
- RLM Consulting thanks to a substantial knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and a strong scientific background, RLM Consulting provides international regulatory affairs support at all stages of product development, from discovery research through preclinical and clinical testing, up to and beyond submission of the dossier for marketing authorization

**MISSION**
Within Exothera Analytical Sciences, based in Andover, MA, you will join a collaborative team full of passionate change-makers. You will be the actor in the successful development of breakthrough mRNA production processes. As the Analytical Scientist NA, you will lead a team of laboratory associates to analyze the analytical attributes of mRNA products. Working closely with our analytical experts in Belgium, you select and implement the best analytical strategy to adequately inform the production team on the properties of the mRNA samples.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Identify & implement efficient analytical strategy to support the production and release of mRNA products. Design, plan and execute analytical experiments for various projects,
- Analytical transfer from/to internal & external partners,
- Participate in internal development of platformed process solutions to develop analytical portfolio,
- Excel in design of experiment, data analysis & presentation / reporting to Customers to orientate the next steps of the project,
- Document experiments & their outcome to ensure knowledge management,
- Participate in internal initiatives with the focus on operational excellence & continuous improvement.
**REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Advanced degree in life sciences/biochemistry/biology (MSc or Ph.D.), or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years experience with analytical technologies (preferably in the context of DNA/RNA products)
- Understanding of the development, implementation and validation of mRNA analytical technologies
- General understanding of pharmaceutical development, Quality & CMC
- Solid data analysis capacity, experience in DoE
- Strong organizational skills with appetite for continuous improvement & operational excellency
- Proactivity and flexibility
- Team spirit
- Experience with Customer interactions, such as in a CRO or CDMO is an asset
