**Technician (Network Activation) - ID & EOPEX

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
**Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- Very good knowledge of Transmission and Telecommunication Systems Engineering and the associated aspects
- Extensive knowledge of implementing and operating network authentication and authorization systems and technologies
- Sound knowledge of communications protocols and practical experience of using diagnostic test equipment
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols
- Working knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
- Deep understanding of the concept of QoS in IP-Networks
- Very good knowledge of Policy Based Routing
- Shall have general understanding of transmission protocol MPLSTE and collaboration services Voice/Video
- Experience in Service Management processes for Incident Management Change Management and Service Fulfilment
- Experience in customer support, user incident handling
- Experience of preparing technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
- Certification level of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

**DUTIES/ROLE**:

- Network service requests processes and technical support for the network configuration management
- Ensure the update of network configuration management databases in accordance with the service request requirements and internal policies/priorities
- Ensure the consistency of the maintained network Data bases, assess and align the compliance of network service requests with NATO standards and references
- Release the circuit and service orders and follow their implementation when required
- Interface to the CIS community for service configuration and request management issues
- Support the NCI Agency NISC Network Services Fulfilment Cell in the daily work related to service configuration and management support
- Update existing, or create new, documentation for the maintained solutions, e. g. drawings, Standard Operating Procedures, User Guides
- Support the provision of network services to NATO deployable/mobile CIS infrastructure in accordance with NATO standards
- Provide the support of exercises and trainings throughout NATO territory as required
