Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.

The NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities for cyber security. In executing this responsibility, NCSC provides specialist cyber security-related services covering the spectrum of scientific, technical, acquisition, operations, maintenance, and sustainment support, throughout the lifecycle of NATO Communications and Information Systems (CIS).

You will perform scheduled checks of the NCSC enterprise network and infra platform environments, including health checks and auditing of system logs as needed to ensure the performance and availability of NCSC Services are meeting established service levels. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving IT infra and network performance for NCSC’s diverse infrastructure on-premises and off site environments, for the daily secure operation of the enterprise firewalls and to manage the capacity and performance or the firewall and network platforms including routers and switches, ensuring that all equipment is operating optimally.

**About you**

We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Network Infrastructure Technician with a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of post-related experience.

A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.

You should also have:

- A network or security professional level certification from any of the following vendors: Cisco, Juniper or Palo Alto, e.g. CCNP-SEC or CCNP-ENT or JNCIP-ENT or JNCIP-SEC or PNCSA
- Firewall configuration and management, Cisco ASA and Firepower, Palo Alto and Juniper SRX;
- Excellent understanding of Network principles including VRF, OSPF, DNS and NAT
- Network development and integration including HSRP/VRRP, BGP, STP, DHCP, VLAN tagging PAgP or LACP, QoS and HA technologies
- Next Generation firewall (NGFW) technologies including firewall policies, content filtering and IPS
- Working knowledge of network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
- Understanding of infrastructure concepts related to Hosting, Networks, IP address Management, firewalls, certificates, Load balancing and Proxy
- Strong understanding on internet protocols including HTTP, SSL, TCP, IP

Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
