Patent Information Officer

Property - Leuven | Just now- The Patent Information Officer will support the Patent Portfolio Manager by searching for this public information using specialized web-based patent databases. You will be part of a growing and IP-conscious global leading research organization.- What you will do- You define the scope of the search request together with the patent portfolio manager.
- Finally, you report the outcome of the search in a concise manner to the patent portfolio manager.
- You docket the outcome of the search in our IP management software.
- When the search is outsourced, you instruct and communicate with these external search providers.
- To keep your expertise up to date, you follow the latest developments in patent search tools and strategies.

Who you are
- You want to use your physics, optical, electronics and/or electrical engineering background (MSc degree).
- You have a broad interest in technology.
- You combine this with good analytical skills.
- You work accurately and in a structured way.
- You are motivated to achieve the best results.
- You are an enthusiastic team player but can work independently and take initiative.
- You have good communication skills, both orally and written.
- You have a thorough knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus.
- You are willing to follow an extensive training program to develop your patent search skills.
