**General**
The IT Infrastructure Manager role is to manage infrastructure, security, desktop support and ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.
**Positioning**
The IT Infrastructure Manager will report to the IT Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure that IT objectives are aligned with the business priorities and group objectives
- Resolve Windows operating system related issues and provide technical advice
- Update and install computer operating systems and other software
- Optimize network hardware and software to enable VMware integration
- Virtualize Windows servers and connect them to networks and clouds
- Troubleshoot and resolve VMware environment issues
- Monitor network infrastructure for performance, availability and security issues of threats
- Design and implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks
- Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 4 years of previous systems and/or server/network management experience
- Experience configuring and managing Hyper-V or VMware vCenter Server
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
- Strong technical experience in working with common protocols such as FTP and SFTP
- Demonstrated enterprise active directory/domain controller set up, configuration and troubleshooting experience
- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
- Experience working with an on-prem environment that is synced to the cloud
- Experience with Azure Cloud is a plus
- MCSE certification is a plus
- Excellent level of Dutch, French and English
