Are you a driven and motivated Head of Production looking for a challenging role that will help you further grow and develop? Then this challenge might be for you

As our new Head of Production, you will plan, coordinate, and manage every step of the manufacturing process of equine mesenchymal stem cells. In addition, you will be responsible for running of production line and ensuring that quality output of the manufactured goods meet customer requirements.

**Further key responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership, management and vision to ensure manufacturing team has appropriate controls, reporting procedures and people to grow the manufacturing organization
- Align with all team leads and key stakeholders on strategy, manufacturing plans and training methods
- Organize, plan and manage all operational activities in the manufacturing area to achieve safe, robust, efficient and economical models in line with targets (specifications and deadlines) and compliant with GMP guidelines. Operational activities include but are not limited to:

- Detailed production planning and hands-on work in clean room (cell thawing, passaging, production, diluent, secondary assembling)
- Ensure that the required initial and continuing training of the department personnel is carried out and adapted according to need
- Check the maintenance of the manufacturing department, premises and equipment, and ensure that the appropriate cleaning and validations are done
- Monitor production progress and performance & ensure output meets quality standards
- Propose and manage budget associated with manufacturing activities
- Contribute to product cost evaluation and actively seek optimization of the costs and productivity
- Motivate, mentor, recruit & retain high performing diverse teams
- Ensure that legal, quality and financial commitments are met in all manufacturing processes
- Look for innovation opportunities in the manufacturing process.

**What you should bring to the team**:

- At least 5 years of practical experience in mammalian cell culture and/or production
- At least 2 years of experience in leading teams
- Excellent command of the English language. Fluency in Dutch is a plus
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics and deep knowledge of production management
- Leadership of manufacturing activity under GMP regulations is a major asset
- Deep knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
- Team player with an entrepreneurial and hands-on mentality
- Excellent organizational, leadership skills with results-driven approach
- Excellent communication skills and able to build strong relationships
- Lastly, you have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, Veterinary Science, and etc).
