**Head of Management Accounting & Advice**

**Your role & work environment**

You will lead 4 Finance Advice teams (Consolidation, Retail, Business Banking and Wholesale Banking), with a total of 20 employees. The teams have the purpose to gather, analyze, interpret and report financial and managerial data. They are pro-active partners interacting with the heads of departments and/or Business Managers on a regular basis providing advice on the financial consequences of decisions and making recommendations targeted at improving and safeguarding financial results. You report to the CFO of ING Belgium and are part of the CFO Management Team.

**Your key responsibilities**

You develop and improve relationships with Board members, identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges and preparing them for discussion.

You are responsible for the delivery of robust and reliable financial reporting and thorough analyses of the monthly financial results, to understand and explain towards the management deviations versus budget and changes in trends. Analysis is conducted to support the business for strategic decision making and to further develop their business.

You develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for a function or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration.

You take the lead in the periodic forecast and the dynamic planning proces where you will act as a strategic business partner to embed strategic decisions into short and long term projections for the Exco and the management teams of the business. You take ownership and ensure that irregularities are adequately communicated and dealt with so that the financial reporting can be timely and correctly delivered.

You maintain pricing tools and advice the business on pricing policy, development and improvement of profitibalility.

In order to be able to perform these activities you make use of complex data. You gather, analyse and evaluate this data and translate this into understandable advice for the business.

**Required experience and skills**
- Masters degree
- demonstrated knowledge of banking
- deep expertise and at least 10 years experience in a financial advice position
- excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English
- experience in translating complex data into sound and clear advice
- demonstrated experience in strategic management and high impact leadership
- demonstrated stakeholder management and influencing skills
- strong organisational sensitivity; ability to understand and take into account the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of an organisation
- focus on operational excellence through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose
