**Skills, knowledge, experience required**:

- Good working experience of ITIL methodologies pertinent to service support and information/knowledge management;
- Working experience of BMC Remedy, ServiceNow or other ITSM platform;
- Experience in:

- Working in an environment with a high volume work load;
- Working in an international environment, preferably incorporating both military and civilian elements;
- Working with IT Change, Configuration and Service Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
- Proven Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) experience directly supporting senior staff in a sizeable organisation, preferably one in the government defence sector or in an international organisation, a national public administration (civil or military), or the private defence sector;
- Familiarity with:

- Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems, Network devices, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft SharePoint;
- Configuration management tools and release automation techniques;
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control systems;
- Knowledge and experience related to deployments, implementation, operation, maintenance, support, of modern IT Services - with specific reference to release and deployment management;
- Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization including NATO Security Policy and supporting directives;
- Sound knowledge of Communication and Information Systems (CIS) within NATO environment;
- Good knowledge and experience with MS SharePoint & MS Power BI;
- Ability to:

- Identify and mitigate risks associated with deployments;
- Take initiative and a flexible approach allowing the incumbent to respond reliably and competently to changing requirements in a demanding environment;
- Proven ability to act when needed, in accordance within Senior Management directives, and take initiative to deliver even when under pressure with limited instructions and mínimal supervision;
- Good communication skills with demonstrated ability to present information in a clear and logical manner both in writing and by other means;
- Extreme accuracy and attention to detail;

**Duties/role**:

- Planning and coordinating the minor software release for NATO Integrated Communication System (NICS) in close coordination with Independent Verification and Validation IV&V and NATO Cyber Security Center (NCSC);
- Reviewing and validating the deployment plans for any change within NISC in accordance with deployment management processes and methodologies;
- Drafting change manager relevant documents and reports;
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with releases and deployments, creating contingency plans when required;
- Collaborating with service delivery managers to validate system readiness, perform post-deployment checks, and address any issues or incidents;
- Monitoring and reporting on release metrics, such as deployment success rate, time-to-deploy, and post-deployment incidents, to drive continuous improvement;
- Conducting post-release reviews and retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned;
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards during the release and deployment processes;
- Collaborating with project managers to align release activities with project timelines and deliverables;
- Deputizing for higher grade staff.
