Media, Communications and Writing - Leuven | Just now- As an event team Leader, you are able to oversee various aspects of event planning and management, you are a strong people manager with a passion for events.- What you will doPeople Management:

- Organize and follow up work distribution within the team to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Manage typical team leader tasks such as chairing team meetings, organize talent reviews, one-on-one conversations, coordinate content-related tasks etc.

Content-Related Tasks:

- Brainstorm on concepts for both internal and external events.
- Attend events and handle practical tasks e.g. director and AV briefings.
- Lead or attend event project meetings and improve efficiency where necessary.
- Oversee event practical implementation as overall project owner, maintaining a complete overview.
- Make sure events are evaluated, compared with previous editions and improvements based on stakeholder feedback are implemented.Act as the contact person for the event team both internally and externally.
- Provide internal updates and presentations to various stakeholders, including research groups, sales teams, and external partners.
- Coordinate with other departments such as purchase (offers), legal (contracts),...
- Budget ownership: organize events within budget, make forecasts, track expenses e.g.
- Stay up to date on imec offerings and liaise with relevant stakeholders.

Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing or equivalent by experience.
- Proven experience in event planning and management.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage a diverse group of colleagues.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Knowledge of marketing automation tools like Eloqua is an advantage.
