Mes Program Business Lead

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a MES Readiness Business Lead to join our CAR-T Operations team located in Ghent, Belgium.

As MES Readiness Business Lead you are accountable for the delivery of the MES system to support clinical and commercial CAR-T manufacturing at the CAR-T Ghent sites. Your main responsibilities include:

- Leading the cross-functional MES Readiness team consisting of PMO, workstream project managers (including Platform Readiness, Solution Readiness, PQ/Go-Live, and Sustain & Improve), and functional core team members (e.g. QA, Operations, MSAT), and serving as E2E decision maker in consultation with business partners.
- Developing, owning, and guarding prospected solution for MES Clinical/Commercial in Tech Lane Phase 1 in collaboration with PMO, MES readiness members & workstream leads, and ensuring the developed solution is in line with the budget, timelines & scope as defined in the steerco.
- Driving solutions for any deviations to scope, timeline or budget due to internal factors (e.g. MES delay) or external factors (e.g. additional scope due to HA inspection) together with PMO & MES readiness members to ensure no impact to site objectives (e.g. launch timelines, capacity ramp-up).
- Developing and maintaining governance to ensure connection of extended team members (e.g. end user) from different business departments This includes managing upward communication towards program steering committee, as well as managing communication cascade throughout the organisation to end users.
- Act as the point of contact between the MES Readiness team and the site Operational Readiness team, as well as other relevant project teams, to ensure schedule alignment across key site milestones

This role requires strong partnerships skills to collaborate and align with different stakeholders (internal & external) together with a strong CAN-DO mindset to drive key MES Readiness milestones for the Ghent facilities.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- A master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply chain or related field is required

Experience and Skills:
Required:

- 5+ years of relevant industry experience with in the (Bio) Pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent communication & influencing skills
- Ability to zoom out for strategic conversations & deep dive into details when needed
- You excel in a fast-paced environment and are energized by solving complex issues as part of a team.
- You thrive in a rapidly changing environment and lead as a change agent to promote flexibility, creativity, and accountability while at the same time handling procedures/ guidelines which require strict execution.
- You work independently and successfully, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and integrating cross-functional issues.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Able to lead cross functional conversations with all levels of the organization
- Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships
- Positive start-up/can-do mindset when dealing with challenges, and you proactively search for solutions.
- You are fluent in both spoken and written Dutch and English.

Preferred:

- Experience with Cell Therapy Operations
- Experience with aseptic manufacturing
