My client is a Nordics company, founded almost a 100 years ago. It operates in the field of industrial HVAC solutions. More specifically they manufacture & distribute

  • Air Filtration Systems: Designed to remove dust, fumes, and smoke from industrial processes.
  • Dust & Fume Extraction Systems: Tailored solutions for welding, cutting, and other manufacturing processes that generate harmful particulates.

But also Industrial Vacuum Systems, Mist Elimination and Energy Efficiency Solutions (including energy-saving products & systems for heat recovery).

In line with its Nordics roots and value, the company is a serious actor in sustainability and environmental responsibility. Their solutions aim to reduce emissions, improve air quality & promote recycling and energy efficiency.

From its humble beginnings, the company is now publicly traded and operating worldwide. And keeps on investing in developing new technologies. In recent years, my client has enhanced its technological capabilities through acquisitions and investments in research and development. The company continues to innovate in areas such as digital monitoring and control systems for industrial air quality.

With a manufacturing site in the Netherlands as well as a small office in Belgium (around 20 FTEs) the company is historically well implanted in the BeNelux. Today France is an identified high potential market that requires a local ambassador to be fully develop. That's where this recruitment comes into play.


In the context of reinforcing its presence on the French market, my client is looking to hire an Area Sales Manager to be responsible for the French market (priority) but also further expand the imprint of the company on the BeNelux market.

More specifically you will be in charge of :

SALES

  • asserting the local presence of the company in France : connecting with existing clients & partners, reconnecting with identified prospects and further expanding the network of the company in this market
  • following up on leads and clients requests to identify commercial growth opportunities
  • Create & implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives & sales targets within the designated area (France being the first focus)
  • Analyse sales data to identify areas for improvement & develop strategies to address challenges and capitalise on opportunities.

TECHNICAL

  • representing the technical expertise of the company as local ambassador : you take the time to discuss with strategic & operational stakeholders, understand your clients needs and offer a tailored technical response - you collaborate to this end with the internal engineering teams as well as with your management
  • you adopt a sales engineer approach to the business, proactively meeting facility managers to establish trust and your expertise.

You'll be expected to work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for sales activities.


The succesful candidate will have :

  • A education background in engineering/electromechanics/chemical and/or relevant experience in industrial HVAC/chemical solutions/electromechanical solutions.
  • Technical sales experience - ability to understand complex technical installations as well as the stakeholders operating them, to communicate your technical expertise and position yourself as a technical partner to them
  • A strong commercial experience in industrial environments, combining both farming & hunting capabilities and the will the evolve and grow in both.
  • A real love for the field - your job is being done at the client side. You will be travelling up to 4 days/week, depending on the business to go & meet your clients on site in Belgium, France & the Netherlands.
  • The ability to travel regularly throughout the year to Germany and the UK for technical training and other corporate events
  • Being fully fluent in FRENCH & ENGLISH is mandatory, speaking dutch will be a nice to have
  • A DOER mindset : you already have experience and know how to approach clients, you are solutions oriented, a team-player and a real trustworthy person - your clients and your colleagues can count on you


The successful candidate will receive a competitive gross salary package based on level of experience and field related expertise (Between 70 & 85k/year).

This package will be added up on with a bonus scheme offering up to an additional 20% of your yearly gross salary.

And of course all extra legal benefits as per Belgian standards : company card & fuel card, group & hospitalisation insurance, net allowances monthly & 26 days off
