As a Payroll Specialist, you will ensure the quality and control of payroll and time activities for GSK Belgium on a monthly basis, including the three companies : GSK Vaccines, Pharma and ViiV, taking into account the imperatives and specificities of each of the companies and the required deadlines.

This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career.

These responsibilities include some of the following:

Key responsibilities:

Time, Payroll and Post-Payroll:

  • Responsible for launching payroll runs on key dates and ensuring that salaries are paid on time for all GSK employees.
  • Specific calculation of certain populations (Sub-Domain, Parttime) and calculation of certain bonuses
  • Ensuring that the payroll is prepared, whether this involves manual entries or interfaced variable elements, right up to the final settlement of accounts.
  • Updating internal payroll procedures, ensuring that they are complied with and carrying out the Sarbox controls defined. Guaranteeing the efficiency and quality of processing, and defining and implementing process improvements and optimisation where necessary.
  • Guaranteeing the quality of absence/attendance monitoring and time management as a whole: via IT tools or Times Managers.
  • Collaborate with the external provider for the monthly, quarterly and annual declarations of social security contributions and taxes and guarantee their reliability. Manage relations with social security and tax bodies.

HR information systems:

  • Develop and train users in SAP Time and Payroll in order to guarantee the quality of information.
  • Before a new feature or change goes live, validate that the scenarios are exhaustive and have been properly identified, and work closely with Tech.
  • Be the key contact for the external service provider for postpayroll management of Belgium
  • Manage payroll projects: integration of new staff, change of payroll IT system or time, outsourcing of activities, etc.

Management:

  • Organisation of monthly/annual/quarterly tasks between the team, management of the schedule and distribution of tasks

Why You?

Basic qualifications:

  • Minimum a bachelor in Human Ressources with specific social and tax law or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 10 years in payroll
  • Experience required for software : SAP HR, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • A knowledge of different software HR (standard and internal) : Workday, Social Security, SPF Finances
  • Good knowledge of English

Preferred qualifications**:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Numerical ability and data entry skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within respect of deadlines
