McLarty's Europe office is offering a six-month full-time traineeship for graduate students to support our practice _in Brussels_
, starting between February and April 2023.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Conducting research on public policy, international, and business issues;
- Monitoring regional news outlets;
- Following policy debates in the European Institutions as well as at Member States level;
- Assisting in the coordination and organization of events and delegation visits;
- Attending conferences, hearings and seminars, as needed;
- Other duties as assigned.
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Accomplished researchers with strong analytical skills;
- Excellent writers;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) and strongly preferred if additionally possess proficiency in European languages, including German, French and/or Dutch;
- Familiar working in an international and multilingual environment;
- Passionate about European politics, the energy transition and transatlantic relations;
- Interested in European public affairs and familiar with the EU's decisionmaking processes;
- Attentive to details;
- Able to operate in a fastpaced work environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality;
- Team oriented and able to adapt to new tasks, as needed.
