**Who are we looking for?**:

- Master in Electronics or equivalent through experience
- PhD in Signal processing or Modem design is an asset
- At least 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
- You have or will acquire an EU security clearance

**Required technical competences**:

- Profound knowledge of VHDL is required, Python is an asset
- Profound experience with VLSI design (Xilinx (AMD) / Altera (Intel) / Actel, Microsemi, Atmel (Microchip) / Lattice / NanoXplore)
- Profound knowledge of the FPGA build process and scripting possibilities
- Experience with automated simulation and test environment and with FPGA / ASIC design for in-space environments (ECSS-standards) are assets

**Expected soft skills**:

- You are well-organised. You keep a good overview under all circumstances, being able to distinguish important from less important matters. You are accurate and a result-driven problem-solver.
- You possess good communicative skills and are able to express yourself fluently in English.
- You are dynamic, motivated and responsible. Furthermore, you are eager to learn, know your limitations and you admit and correct your mistakes.
- Flight experience is an asset.
- Bilingual (English, Dutch).

- You are is responsible for the VLSI design of the modem product, from concept phase up to testing.
- You can work in a team as well as autonomously.
