**Commercial Director**:

Our client is a company active in the sector of personalized promotional items, in a B2B environment. They select, buy and personalize those items, mostly by printing them, but also other techniques are being applied. Clients are very diverse and range from large enterprises to first division football clubs. They are owned by a Private Equity fund. Over the last 18 months they have successfully gone through an important operational improvement process, also merging two complementary companies into one. Extra funding has been provided and a number of further acquisitions is part of the strategy. They are now looking for their new **Commercial Director **to bring extra commercial drive and further growth to the company for the current and future business units.

**Function description**
- You are the 'face' of the company both to its own employees and to the outside world: customers, suppliers and shareholders
- You will manage a team of approx. 20 co-workers, consisting of both blue and white collar
- You are responsible for business development and implementation of both the long
- and short-term commercial strategy that should mainly focus on growth. You will be closely involved in the daily (operational) management of the company
- You bear the final responsibility in the customer process, ranging from quotation to handling any complaints
- You manage the company's resources and direct where they are deployed
- You negotiate or approve the contracts for the company

**Job requirements**
- Master Degree or equal by experience. Ideally, with a commercial or marketing specialization
- 5+ years' experience in as a Commercial Director, General Manager or Business Unit Manager in a commercial environment, with P&L responsibility
- Experience in the field of advertising and/or promotional activities is a plus.
- Proven commercial drive, and preferably with both B2B and B2C customers.
- Track record with P&L responsibility
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Strong people management skills, able to coach and motivate teams to a higher level while giving them sufficient autonomy.
- Time management and decision making skills
- Prioritization and delegation skills
- Speaks and writes Dutch and French fluently. Professional English is a plus.

**Offer**

A long term Management assignment for an independent manager who will invoice through his or her management company. Remuneration will be based on a fixed part (8k€) and a variable part based upon achieved results in developing the gross margin in the business plan. There is also the option of acquiring shares in the company at a later stage.

**Organizational and departmental definition**

You will be reporting to the CEO, who is also partner at the private equity company which acquired the company.
