iTeos Therapeutics is now a world-class biotech in cancer immunotherapy. To carry on its growth, expand its pipeline and reinforce its team, iTeos Therapeutics is looking for a **Scientist Scientist - Medicinal Chemistry.**
**Responsibilities**:
Main responsibilities:
- **Designing new molecules** that address previously identified weak points.
- **Oversee CRO activity** and integrate input from expert consultant to advance the medicinal chemistry projects.
- Develop and optimize synthetic routes to improve the quality, efficiency, and scalability of compound synthesis.
- Develop and maintain scientific expertise in the field of medicinal chemistry.
- Manage, motivate and empower a small team of scientists.
- Being able to **support lab activities** when necessary.
**Profile**:
- PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant chemical science, with at least 6 years of experience in biotech or pharma industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in medicinal chemistry and strong knowledge of **modern synthetic organic chemistry principles**.
- Experience in the **design and synthesis of small molecules for drug discovery**, with a track record of advancing projects to preclinical development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex scientific data to diverse audiences.
- Experience in managing a medicinal chemistry lab is a plus.
- Excellent command of English (oral and written).
