**Job Summary**
The Event Production Manager reports to the Director, Event Design and Production, and is responsible for supporting the production of ICANN meetings. This role involves assisting in all aspects of meeting design and production. The Manager’s specific focus specific focus area is to provide professional expertise and support with the technical and logístical planning and execution of high-quality events and functions, identify and facilitate the processing of contracts, agreements, and other technical and operational related support to the successful production of events.
**Key Responsibilities & Duties**:
- Collaborate with teams to evaluate, process, and plan technical and logístical aspects of meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Coordinate on-site event production, including scheduling, logistics, vendor management, AV needs, and support personnel deployment.
- Liaise with meeting planners and internal departments for contract processing with venues and vendors, monitoring schedules, and budget reconciliation.
- Work cross-functionally with various internal teams to ensure project/event success within reasonable costs.

- Aid in researching and assessing potential meeting sites, managing space configurations, and logistics.
- Support additional meeting planning and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate on large ICANN Meetings preparation, venue evaluation, and execution.
- Evaluate proposed venues for various meetings and conferences.
- Manage meeting space requirements and configurations, including creating room plans and seating layouts.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)**:
- Experienced in event production, preferably in a global or multi-stakeholder organization.
- Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English with multilingual skills strongly preferred.
- Excellent cross-functional management skills in a highly diverse workforce across multiple languages, cultures, and geographic locations.
- Ability to multi-task and to work independently.
- Ability to solve complex issues in an ambiguous environment.
- Proven ability to prepare detailed reports, and presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Thorough understanding of all practices and technologies in meeting planning and production.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and proficiency in AutoCad.
**Education and Experience Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 8 years' experience in meeting planning and operations management.
- Experience in varied meeting production techniques and audio-visual technologies
- Experienced in working with budgets and familiarity with financial processes
- Experience with negotiating and contracting of venues and vendors
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential, Meeting Professional (CMP) credential and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) credential preferred.
**Languages**:
- Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required
**Working Conditions & Physical Requirements**:
- Comfort level with an international work environment that requires availability at times outside normal business hours.
- Ability to travel extensively, up to two weeks at a time, for site inspections, preparatory meetings, and events both domestic and international.
- Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk, required to talk, and hear; use hands and arms to reach, handle or feel.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
