Context

We are seeking a talented individual with expertise in computer science, or alternatively, a commercial engineer or economist with a genuine passion for computer science. This person will be responsible for crafting Power BI dashboards, constructing queries, and creating macros to enhance the analytical capabilities of the team.

Our goal is to empower the Private Banking Risk & Control team to concentrate on high-value deliverables by crafting Power BI queries and visualizations, as well as developing useful macros. These tools will facilitate the presentation of PB Control's work in a user-friendly and visually appealing manner.

As part of our continuous development, we are currently looking for an intern to join the Private Banking Risk & Control team as soon as possible for a period of 3 months.

Your Position

You will be tasked with utilizing the PowerBi Dax language to construct efficient databases and develop engaging, narrative-driven, and interactive charts.

Your initial objective will be to devise compelling, interactive, and innovative methods for presenting the results of the quarterly and monthly controls conducted by the Risk & Control team.

This will include the following tasks:

- Presenting results based on office, private banker, and/or type of client management mandate;
- Representing the number of controls performed in both percentages and actual numbers;
- Analyzing the evolution of results over different time periods, such as from one month (or quarter or year) to another, or throughout the year

Additionally, your secondary goal will to brainstorm meaningful approaches to pinpoint areas for improvement, such as refining the control processes when results consistently fall short.

Your Profile
- You are currently pursuing or holding a Master degree in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science (or any financial background) with a keen interest in IT;
- You are fluent in English and have excellent knowledge of French and/or Dutch
- You are proficient in VBA;
- Your are familiar with PowerBi, or a have strong willingness to acquire expertise in the software and its Dax language;
- You are capable of independent work and self-driven learning;
- You are able to work independently in a responsible, and rigorous way;
- Team spirit is in your DNA, and you like to work in a challenging environment with a dynamic team;
- You are flexible, able to meet deadlines and stress-resistant.
