**The Position**
The Regional Director of Sales & Marketing will have the exceptional opportunity to lead the sales, marketing, and communication strategies for three of beautiful properties, Hotel Amigo in Brussels, The Charles Hotel in Munich as well as Hotel de Rome in Berlin.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to perform the essential functions of the job; including:
- Formulate, develop and implement of Sales & Marketing strategy for the three properties
- Be accountable for the commercial success of the hotels, maximizing revenue and profitability under the direction of the Cluster General Manager (and functional leadership of VP Sales and VP Marketing)
- Drive Sales & Marketing efforts across all market segments, encompassing Rooms, Conference & Banqueting and Food & Beverage revenues, in close cooperation with the Global Sales Team
- Continuously review budget versus forecast and support the budget delivery with appropriate sales and marketing strategies and tactics
- Maximize opportunities and align strategies with the budget objective to achieve commercial goals in close cooperation with the Revenue Team (and General Managers) and other stakeholders involved
- Constantly monitor and evaluate existing and potential business opportunities through trend analytics, always aware of new opportunities in the market with the objective to build strategic partnerships
- Prepare, provide input, offer advice and contribute towards the annual budgeting process in conjunction with the Cluster General Manager and Hotel General Managers
- Suggest and launch tactical promotions, create and manage synergies between the cluster hotels and maximize cross-selling and promotional opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market dynamics locally, regionally and internationally to provide valuable input towards strategy development plan
- Represent Rocco Forte Hotels, Germany & Belgium at key events, sales trips, roadshows, product launches, and media events
- Develop, nurture and maintain strong solid relationships with potential and current guests, agents and key partners to maximise business opportunities
- Monitor competitors’ activities and contribute to marketing intelligence
- Lead the Sales & Marketing, Germany & Belgium team, provide guidance and direction through coaching and mentoring and utilizing all training and development plans provided by Rocco Forte Hotels
- Be responsible for ensuring that the brand image of Rocco Forte Hotels and individual properties are positively and correctly maintained
**Qualifications & Experience**
- A degree within Sales/Marketing/Revenue and /or tourism/hospitality
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role (minimum 5 years) and familiarity with the luxury hotel industry
- Experience with multi-property or regional responsibilities
- A strategic mind-set with high level of passion, enthusiasm and drive for results
- Charismatic leadership qualities capable of inspiring and motivating our Sales & Marketing team
- A passion for the industry and pro-active awareness of luxury market trends
- Excellent communication skills with strong command of English and German; knowledge of French is desirable
- Motivated, committed, flexible and team-oriented personality with meticulous attention to detail
- An inquisitive and analytical mind-set, coupled with problem-solving orientation
