We are looking for a specialist seller for our Surface Devices
The Surface specialist is assigned a set of clients (also known as territory) in the Enterprise market and Public Sector, and for the line of products called Surface.
Surface encompasses all the laptops, tablets and large screens and associated accessories that Microsoft puts on the market.
- You will belong to the department called “Modern Workplace” aiming at improving the productivity of the enterprises.
**Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Drive the revenue of Surface products - that will be your main objective but not onlyyou will be using tools like pipeline management and inventory reporting that we will ask you to use with discipline
- Improve the penetration of Surface in your territory - this means finding creative approaches to discover new clients and convince them to acquire Surface products and monitor the successes over time
- You don’t sell and go but you keep the relationship with a customer on the long term and you monitor how they maximize their investments by using the product you sold them. You adjust and support according to their feedback
- The hardware market is highly competitive, this means that you will be confronted with objections from customers, maneuvers from competitors and difficulties to overcome - we are expecting you to embrace competition with the energy, creativity and resilience to meet the challenges. You won’t be alone, Microsoft has a lot of resources and expertise to help you in this task.
- We are expecting you to deliver briefings to customers, partners and colleagues (small or large audiences) about the products and unique advantages or to present past successes with the idea of sharing best practices.
- You will be asked to be an active member of the Surface team that is composed of colleagues also responsible of this business whether at product management level (in relation with Microsoft Corp in the US), partner level (resellers) or other sales colleagues assigned on other territory or products. Active memberships means participation with new ideas, adopt a listening and learning attitude vav the others member and be a perfect team player.

- If we look more in details about what it takes to sell Surface we can highlight the following:
- Develop the relationship at the customer beyond IT to business decision makers, helping customers envision & achieve their own transformation using our technology, in this case Surface.
- Assist the customer building internal cases to acquire our technology by presenting the value of Surface devices, including use cases, financial analysis, ROI, etc.
- Once you meet a potentially interested customer, that is called an opportunity, we are expecting you to own the opportunity from the beginning to the end by knowing what to do at any time, by planning the tasks, by leveraging other resources and team members within Microsoft (e.g. consisting of technical, marketing and partner roles) ;
- Microsoft will provide you with many means and tools to leverage: resellers to scale sales, Marketing material to approach customers and network with other Microsoft colleagues who are also working on the same customers and with whom a collaboration can be beneficial to all.
- Sometimes a deal can be complex and will require the involvement and orchestration of other teams like operations or product management. This is part of the job.
- There is a part of the job which consists in communicating promotions, offers, sales initiatives or programs
- We expect you to be continuously in a learning mode eager to absorb new matters related to sales, business, technology, and competitive readiness
- Participate in internal Microsoft sales communities and in the broader industry through in-person events, Teams sites, community gatherings and more.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in hardware sales, with affinity for the enterprise sales market
- Sales oriented person: disciplined, organized, creative and who likes to meet customers, understand their challenges and find with them solutions preferably leveraging what Microsoft has to sell.
- Orchestrator: this means someone who can lead, coach a virtual team up to the achievement of a common objective.
- Strategic thinking: Ability to develop sales and business strategy options,
- Excellent Communicator: Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, financial acumen, written, and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch (French is an asset).
- Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations and has the ability, characteristics, and determination to compete effectively against skilled and diverse competition.
- Work cohesively with members of the Microsoft sales & services field, Microsoft partners, and Microsoft corporate sales, engineering, and marketing.
