Civilian Administrative Specialist

**Duties**:
- Performs as a principal management and administrative advisor for all civilian personnel.
- Ensures all personnel actions meet legal, regulatory, and procedural standards.
- Assists in the preparation of reports in response to queries from higher headquarters.
- Performs miscellaneous administrative support functions, ensures correspondence is in the correct format.
- Responsible for official records maintenance, general correspondence, unit civilian administration, appraisals, awards, official permanent change of station (PCS) orders, rosters, and hiring.
- The incumbent is responsible for the various civilian personnel service support functions, i.e. Automated Time and Attendance Production System (ATAAPS), Civilian Personnel On-Line (CPOL), and AutoNOA.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Agency requires drug test for this position.
- TDY travel will be required up to 5% of the time.
- Must sign a Statement of Understanding of Civilian Intelligence Personnel Management System (CIPMS)provisions as indicated in AR 640-13.

- Prior Federal Service Employee- To qualify based on your experience/and or experienceyour resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GG/GS-09) or its equivalent that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.**Specialized experience is defined as** experience with civilian personnel management systems such as managing the civilian work force, or personnel database management, or automation management, or civilian automated timekeeper and miscellaneous personnel action.

- Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skill and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position such as Business Administration, Human Resources Management, and Public Administration or other fields related to the position to be filled. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).

- On this overseas accompanied tour, medical and DoDDS special education services may not be available in the immediate location of this position.
- In the overseas areas, access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. Medical care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical facilities will vary by location. Movement overseas may require you to initiate a change in your health benefits plan to ensure coverage.
