About the job
As our Category & Channel Manager, you develop the Specialized Nutrition Category (Baby food: Nutrilon & Medical Nutrition : Fortimel) in the healthcare channels (pharmacy, elderly homes, homecare), defining the key category growth levers and translating it into relevant activation plans. You also use different (data) resources to derive and define the right actionable insights for the development of our categories. You connect internally with account management, marketing, PRGM, the field team and the senior category managers to drive category/Danone growth initiatives into action at the point of purchase.

**Your mission**
- Ensure that strategies and plans are implemented at customer level which deliver category growth based on consumer, shopper and customer insights
- Continuously monitoring of business results within all segments of the category by using both internal and external market data. Inform and challenge team to deliver targets.
- Communicate internally to different stakeholders on the category/Danone performance
- Derive relevant category/business development opportunities from different data resources
- Refine and further develop the existing pharma channel strategy, developing key initiatives (together with Marketing) to fuel the growth of the category within different subchannels
- Activate our brands in-store via POSM together with marketing/shopper marketing to ensure aligned execution of our brand strategy on the shopfloor and lead its implementation
- Work in x-functional brand & customer teams to support the delivery of Danone initiatives with customers & drive their results
- Establish clear promotional guidelines by channel, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our trade investments with ROI driven analysis
- Lead and animate our merchandising strategy and our picture of success model from design to implementation on the field
- Lead yearly advertising & promotion budget allocation and management
- Build a strong network externally towards pharmacy & healthcare KOLs and internally towards cross-functional stakeholders
About you
- You hold a Master’s degree
- You have 3-5 years’ experience in roles that call for your data analysis skills e.g. category management, data analysis, performance marketing, etc.
- Fluent in Dutch, French, English
- Strong IT skills, esp. in Excel & Powerpoint
- Background in retail, pharma or healthcare is a nice to have but we also welcome professionals coming from a totally different sector
- Considered a plus: data visualisation and design skills in Power BI, knowledge of tools such as Gfk, IQVIA, Redpharma or Nielsen
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical skills
- Autonomous & agile
- Team spirit and the power to build strong relationship both internally and externally
- Knowledge/understanding of high end / premium clients and consumers
- Strong leadership skills
