- ** Exothera** is a contract research, development, and manufacturing organization (CRDMO) dedicated to viral vector and nucleic acids production. As a technology-driven company, Exothera provides best-in-class bioprocessing expertise that capitalizes on the best and most innovative manufacturing technologies developed within the Univercells group. The company delivers accelerated discovery services and process development/optimization to rapidly reach GMP clinical and commercial production of viral vectors and nucleic acids.
- ** Unizima** delivers international project management of technology transfer, alongside operational support services (quality, supply chain, digital) and bioproduction training programs, as well as care centers and diagnostics surveillance centers.
- ** Quantoom Biosciences **is reinventing mRNA production by developing an mRNA production platform (NfinityTM) from sequence up to mass production.
- ** RLM Consulting **thanks to a substantial knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and a strong scientific background, RLM Consulting provides international regulatory affairs support at all stages of product development, from discovery research through preclinical and clinical testing, up to and beyond submission of the dossier for marketing authorization.

MISSION
The
**Business Development**
**Associate** will report to the Head of Business Development and will be responsible for supporting business development for transversal group opportunities (that involve more than one affiliate) and for advancing sales leads associated with the offering branded as Univercells SA (parent company).
This role will work closely with Marketing and Account Management to help identify, assess and advance revenue-generating and/or value-creating opportunities for Univercells that are relevant to either multiple affiliates (transversal sales) or associated with Univercells’ offering (e.g. vaccine development support services), with a specific focus on international global health and public sector stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a BD associate, you will be actively contributing to:
- Prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals from initial contact through signed agreements, in a consultative selling process
- Perform lead generation, interact with potential customers to define project requirements to feed the sales process with qualified prospects
- Track, Identify and qualify new sales opportunities and report on the status of proposal components
- Regularly network and develop relationships with prospective Global Health stakeholders while evaluating opportunities and fit-to-purpose business development
- Work closely with scientific/technology teams to define innovative and effective products and services
- Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
- Conduct due diligence, formulate partnership strategies, business case and present recommendation to the management team as well as mange transactional and execution steps to close
- Align with strategy and leverage on new business opportunities to continuously adapt the marketing strategy
- Support in market intelligence and market analysis, evaluating and prioritizing market opportunities, defining pricing strategy and value proposition to build a strong product portfolio
- Represent our company in congresses or events
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Bioscience
- or Biomedical Engineering.
- Additional business degree or MBA is a plus
- Professional experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech development or a business development role in the same industries is a plus
- Scientific background, with understanding of biopharmaceuticals, biopharmaceutical drug development process and the broader healthcare industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to deliver key messages to internal and external audiences including the C-Suite
