To strengthen our **Rare Disease Commercial Team**, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of**:Head of Access and Pricing Strategy Rare Diseases **to be** **based in our **HQ in Brussels, Belgium or Atlanta, US.**

The Head of Myasthenia Gravis Access & Pricing will lead all aspects of access and pricing leading to a successful launch of both Rozimab and Zilucoplan. S/he will influence the overall strategy of the asset(s) to ensure that the value of UCB solutions to patients is reflected in price, to ensure appropriate access for patients across all UCB’s major markets and to ensure that the value proposition and the evidence that supports it is compelling to payers.
As a key senior leader on the Commercial Team in the Rare Disease Organization, the incumbent will align access and pricing ambition, strategy and operationalization with both peers in medical, development and commercial disciplines as well as ensure seamless regional and local resourcing, capabilities and plans for execution. The role reports directly into the Head of Asset and Commercial Strategy for the RDO.
The role is also a key one on the global access and pricing leadership team and so the incumbent will have an indirect reporting line to the global head of access and pricing. In this capacity the incumbent is expected to ensure that global deliverables from access operations leads in US, EU and China & Japan and deliverables from pricing, payer strategy and health economic teams serves the needs of the mission and that the mission strategy informs the direction of travel for the global organization. Additionally, this person will be a standing member of the MG Global Rare Program Team (GRPT) - the core body responsible for leading our Global MG plan.
The incumbent will ensure that the asset and allied services and solutions represent a compelling value proposition that reflects specific, meaningful differentiation to payers and patients, and that this value proposition is supported by a corpus of clinical and real-world evidence and toolkits that enable local success when negotiating with payers. S/he is expected to not only tailor access and pricing plans (including innovative Value Based approaches) to the available evidence but also to significantly influence evidence generation plans to maximally support pricing and access ambition for the asset.
The Head of Head of Myasthenia Gravis Access & Pricing is a critical Commercial role connecting the RDO’s strategy to the development and execution of the Access & Pricing Strategy for our MG launches. This role leads the Myasthenia Gravis, Affiliate and Regional, and Access Pricing & External Engagement (“APEX”) teams in:
- Translating current and evolving healthcare ecosystems into **actionable insights**, **recommendations, and implications** for the Mission
- Overseeing the development of **external engagement strategies** that accelerate, achieve, and maintain Sustainable access for Rozimab and Zilucoplan in Myasthenia Gravis
- **
Optimizing the Myasthenia Gravis strategy**- including value proposition(s), evidence package(s), and investments - to support Sustainable Access consistent with UCB’s ambition for the asset
- **
Integrating the Access & Pricing strategy** of each assigned asset, indication, or group of assets into cohesive Mission APEX strategy, cutting across clinical development through key lifecycle management pursuits
- **
Enabling business results delivery** by Regional and Local teams through availability of a strategy, evidence, and tools needed to support price and access negotiations and HTA submissions at launch and through key lifecycle events

- Integrates insights from multi-disciplinary sources and all Mission asset teams to discern key drivers of value from within the evolving payer and access landscape that will shape the perceived value and negotiated access-and-pricing of UCB’s products within the Mission.
- Creates feedback loops between insight generation, strategy development, and market performance to ensure continuous optimization of the value UCB offers to payers for Sustainable patient access.
- Contributes to Mission-sponsored assessments of new therapeutic targets, products, indications, or business development
