Als Expert Telecom speel je een sleutelrol in het ontwikkelen en beheren van telecommunicatiesystemen voor de secundaire systemen, essentieel voor een duurzame en betrouwbare elektriciteitsinfrastructuur.

In deze functie ben je technisch verantwoordelijk voor de interfacing-apparatuur tussen secundaire systemen (zoals differentieelbeveiligingen) en telecommunicatieapparatuur (TDM, MPLS). Je beheert het “passieve gedeelte” van de telecominfrastructuur, waaronder optische vezelverbindingen, HDPE-buizen, koper ethernet-verbindingen en 19-inch kasten.

Daarnaast stel je technische standaarden en specificaties op voor investeringsprojecten en beheer je bestaande en nieuwe raamakkoorden, inclusief de Europese aanbestedingsprocedures, van marktanalyse tot leveranciersoverleg en offerteanalyse. Je ondersteunt projectteams met technisch advies, ontwikkelt opleidingen voor operationele teams en werkt nauw samen met het datacom-departement voor het beheer van het telecommunicatienetwerk.

In deze veelzijdige rol combineer je diepgaande technische telecomexpertise met sterke communicatieve vaardigheden om bij te dragen aan een betrouwbare en duurzame energievoorziening.

  • Een burgerlijk of industrieel ingenieur in elektriciteit of elektromechanica.
  • Je kunt je zowel mondeling als schriftelijk goed uitdrukken in het Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
  • Je zoekt pragmatische oplossingen en bent klant- en resultaatgericht.
  • Je kunt goed in teamverband werken, bent communicatief vaardig en beschikt over overtuigingskracht.
  • Je beschikt over sterke analytische en synthetiserende vaardigheden, zodat je complexe informatie duidelijk kunt overbrengen (zowel mondeling als schriftelijk).
  • Je beheert zelfstandig en proactief het vooraf afgesproken takenpakket.
  • Je hebt grondige kennis van MS Office; dit is een pluspunt.
  • Je hebt enkele jaren werkervaring in het telecommunicatiedomein.
  • Je hebt een "expertenprofiel" en bent bereid diepgaande kennis op te bouwen binnen het specifieke domein van telecom.
  • Je bent bereid om continu nieuwe kennis te vergaren over opkomende technologieën en toepassingen die binnen Elia zullen worden geïmplementeerd.
  • Je bent proactief en zoekt zelfstandig naar mogelijkheden om je kennis uit te breiden.
  • Je hebt ervaring met materiaal voor optische vezelverbindingen, zoals optische vezelkabels, HDPE-buizen, optische vezel patchpanelen, patchcords en pigtails.
  • Je hebt ervaring met het opstellen van technische specificaties (dit is een pluspunt).
  • Je bent vertrouwd met het gebruik van normen, zoals IEC-normen.
  • Je hebt kennis van IEC-normen voor optische vezeltechnologie (IEC 61300, IEC 61753, IEC 61754, IEC 61755, enzovoort).
