Who are we?

Belgian Coast & City Hotels is the umbrella organisation for, at present, 11 hotels franchised by the international hotel chain Accor. As an organisation, we provide support to the hotels in the areas of finance, sales, marketing and HR.

In autumn 2024, we will open a new branch in Zaventem, namely Mövenpick Brussels Airport, and for this we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated General Manager.

Mövenpick is a 4-star premium brand franchised under Accor and is central to pampering in the broad sense of the word. In the heart of Zaventem, between the NATO headquarters and The Corporate Village, Mövenpick Brussels Airport will feature 220 hotel rooms, a rooftop restaurant, sky lounge and wellness.

Job Description

We are looking for a General Manager to help start up the hotel as well as help shape its operations.

What can you expect?

Various meetings/training sessions with external parties, recruiting employees, setting up budgets, etc.

Once the hotel has opened, as General Manager you will be the face of the hotel.

You help build awareness and image.

You are ultimately responsible for the daily business activities and the corresponding reporting. As General Manager, you are therefore responsible for managing and coaching the entire team.

You focus on the P&L with a focus on cost efficiency, personnel management and the customer satisfaction of hotel guests.
Commercial activities are also peculiar to a hotel.
Here you focus on active prospecting, on attracting the B2B target group/travellers.

Qualifications

You already have several years of experience in the world of hospitality as a manager.
- You are strongly customer-oriented, sociable and have a positive attitude.
- You are a real entrepreneur with a hands-on mentality.
- You have a large sense of responsibility and can work independently.- You highly value communication and empathy. You know how to motivate your team.
- You think in a problem-solving way and are flexible.
- Being organised is no secret to you and you are also stress-resistant.
- An excellent knowledge of written and spoken language in Dutch, French and English. Any additional language is obviously a plus
