The **International Sales and Business Development Representative** will have the opportunity to help grow our Europe footprint. If you are looking for a position to create opportunities, overcome road blocks, help continue to strengthen an established brand and let your entrepreneurial side flourish than this position might be for you **This position can work remotely or at one of our offices in Germany, Belgium or Austria and is posted as such.**
IRD Europe GmbH, operating as Quarterhill, has a significant ITS presence in Europe, with its group of companies Icoms Detections, Sensor Line and VDS. We manufacture locally, install locally and service locally - all as part of our longer-term goal - safer, more efficient roads and a safer, greener, trusted world.
The **International Sales and Business Development Representative** will be essential in supporting our continued growth in Europe.
**Sales and Promotion**:
- Present, promote, and sell products and services to existing and prospective customers.
- Reach out to customer leads through multiple channels.
- Prepare and participate in sales events to enhance product awareness and generate leads.
**Customer and Market Analysis**:
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers and the market.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends to enhance sales strategies.
**Relationship Management**:
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
**Sales Targets and Reporting**:
- Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Analyze market potential, track sales and status reports.
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
**International Bids**:
- Manage complex international bids, ensuring comprehensive and competitive proposals and presentations.
- Ensure planning, involvement of stakeholders to ensure a
**Continuous Improvement**
- Continuously improve through feedback and self-evaluation.
**Qualifications**:
It is essential that you are ready to be a part of an innovative, creative and enthusiastic team You will need to drive to meet goals, be a successful leader and overcome obstacles and opposition.
- Proven work experience as a sales representative in the ITS industry through an existing network
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
**Qualifications needed**:
- Previous sales representative experience
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Fluent in French or German or Dutch
- Fluent in English
- Other languages considered an asset
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
