We are looking for a **Support Manager Global Network Optimization** based in Diegem, Belgium. The purpose of the role is to:

- Support the management of the capacity of the Intercontinental dedicated network, both mid
- and short-term incl. allocation planning and ULD planning and balancing, etc. together with the Network Optimization team and relevant regional & functional stakeholders incl. partner airlines.
- Act as an initial contact for capacity issues on the Intercontinental dedicated network.
- Assist the Network Optimization team in the management of the Intercontinental dedicated network to identify potential capacity incidents in order to initiate the best corrective actions.
- Provide general support to the Network Optimization team as required to assist in new air network set-up and route/location/operator implementation.
- Provide analysis, reporting and general support to the Network Optimization team as required to assist in decision-making.
- Participate in key Network Optimization projects.

**How will you contribute to the success of DHL?**:

- Act as a point of contact for Regional Network Optimization and ULD Control providing assistance when required to initiate corrective actions.
- Develop and provide necessary monitoring, analysis and support for identification of trends.
- Monitor intercontinental network performance, capacity and ULD balancing to report issues and non-compliances to Global and Regional Network Optimization.
- Perform Network Optimization related activities incl. reporting and data analysis as required by the Sr. Director Network Optimization Global.
- Assist Regions in the co-ordination, agreement and activation of air network plans.
- Assist ACS in understanding the capacity made available to them, FLEX / T-AGA / AGA.
- Ensure clear and concise communication in case capacity made available to ACS cannot be maintained, or extra ACS capacity becomes available.
- Support in developing Corrective Action and contingency plans in conjunction with Regional Network Optimization, ACS and Aviation.
- Report on Network Optimization KPI’s and trends.
- Issue ULD Control standard reporting package daily/weekly.
- Issue weekly NCG reporting package incl. Weight Watchers Scorecard.
- Identify issues arising from demand changes in the network to ensure movement of Core and ACS shipments without service impact.
- Issue Implementation Hypercare reports to provide initial feedback network changes.
- Assist with ULD Control as required to deliver ULD projects and training.
- Incumbent has no direct reports and authority over regional or country line and functional personnel.

**Do you have what it takes?**:

- Solid operational and DHL Express network knowledge
- Well-developed planning and organization skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Project management and planning skills
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Advanced Software Skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel - OPMS experience an advantage
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Problem solver and self-starter
- Minimum of three years in DHL Express network related role such as NCG, SQ, H&G’s or similar
- Degree in Aviation/Logistics Management or equivalent industry experience
