You will join our Events team that is working on European projects in the areas of social policy, education, climate change, transport, agriculture, digitalisation, and international development, among others. Our activities consist mostly of developing and delivering innovative physical, hybrid and digital event concepts and strategies. Working closely with our colleagues and as a team, we manage the delivery of a wide range of European and international events from A to Z. Most of our project and events are conducted on behalf of the European Commission and / or related institutions. Our events are usually attended by high-level officials (i.e., Commissioners, ministers, ambassadors, etc.), journalists, representatives from public and private sectors, and the wider public.

**What you will be doing**

Working in a team of **6 creative events specialists**, as part of our wider Communications & Digital unit, you will take a **supporting role** in developing and delivering innovative and engaging virtual, physical and hybrid events from A to Z for the European Institutions.

As part of the events team, your tasks will include and will not be limited to:

- Contributing to the design of event concepts and strategies on a wide range of projects and themes working with different teams and Ecorys offices;
- Working closely with the team on the events input for proposals, supporting in the drafting of new and engaging content;
- Keeping up to date with the latest events tools and technologies, liaising with external service providers and reporting back to the team on the best digital solutions on the market;
- Supporting other team members in the implementation of events, liaising with colleagues, clients, and external partners, planning, and arranging the logistics of an event (e.g., venue, travels, catering, technical support, streaming, sourcing of virtual platforms, registration, hosting etc);
**What we will need from you**

Essential
- Diploma or certificate in event management and/or university degree in a relevant field such as communications, digital marketing, public relations, or another relevant field;
- Work experience (internship / entry level experience) in event management;
- An excellent level of written and spoken English;
- Good organisational and coordination skills;
- Good communication skills, including the ability to work in an international, multi-cultural setting, and foster relations with colleagues, partners, clients, and stakeholders;
- Good IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Ability to work on multiple/diverse projects simultaneously;
- Willingness to travel in Europe occasionally up to few nights away in case of physical event organisation.

Desirable
- Experience of working with EU institutions as clients;
- Other languages are considered an asset;
- Experience / knowledge of digital events tools available on the market.

We are offering a full-time position under Belgian permanent contract based in our Brussels office (incl. 40% homeworking) with a competitive remuneration package.
