**A. POST CONTEXT
SHAPE provides an integrated Strategic Effects framework, employing a multi-domain and multi-region focus to create a 360-degree approach, with the flexibility to enable, upon direction, a seamless transition from Baseline Activities and Current Operations (BACO) up to the Maximum Level of Effort (MLE). SHAPE supports SACEUR in fulfilling his terms of reference, as directed by the North Atlantic Council.
The Strategic Development and Preparation (SDP) Directorate is responsible for the development, review and maintenance of Strategic Planning, Advanced Planning and Crisis Planning products for ACO; contributes to the development of strategic policy and concepts for ACO; preparation of the NATO Command Structure (NCS) and declared forces for current and future operations across the full spectrum of mission areas; developing Education, Training, Exercise and Evaluation (ETEE) direction and guidance in line with strategic policy; ensuring that forces are prepared in accordance with evaluation criteria; oversees and executes the ACO Lessons Learned (LL) process.
The Strategic Development of Forces (SDF) Division coordinates and assures the synchronization and cohesion of all issues related to the development, generation and readiness of NATO forces and force capabilities.
The Command and Control Operational Requirements (C2OR) Branch develops, identifies, manages and coordinates operational requirements and interoperability aspects of Command and Control systems.
This post contributes to the Command and Control Systems Support (C2SS) Section and in particular for future NATO 2030 ISS requirements related to the Integrated Air & Missile Defence (IAMD) expansion. The C2SS Section will conduct Maintenance and Technical Support, as well as Technical Evaluations of C2 systems. It shall provide In-Service-Support (ISS), Through-Life System Management and support Budget issues in conjunction with managing own budgets to support NATO C2 systems, including new NATO 2030 requirements for NATO IAMD Systems.

**C. PRINCIPAL DUTIES**
**Principal Duties**
- Support the Principal Engineer in implementing technical logistics support concepts, policies, plans and financial plans for the in-service support of future and legacy C2 systems and Surveillance systems (active and passive sensors) and future 2030 requirements related to the Integrated Air & Missile Defence (IAMD) expansion;
- Prepare financial packages for future 2030 ISS requirements related to the Integrated Air & Missile Defence (IAMD) expansion, in line with the direction and guidance provided by the line management;
- Performs required financial actions in the ACO Financial System which are required to the in-service support of NATO IAMD systems;
- Support the Fund manager in the preparation of the ACO submission for the support of NATO IAMD Systems for the NATO Medium Term Resource Plan (MTRP);
- Support the preparation of annual budget submissions for the in-service support of NATO IAMD systems from the Military Budget;
- Assists the C2OR Branch Representives at meetings within NATO Agencies and NATO HQ concerning in-service support of NATO IAMD systems;
- Assists the C2OR Branch Representives for the development of through-life support plans of the programmatic governance including the related 2030 identified activities in support of NATO IAMD;
- Contributes to the monitoring of the technical performance and availability of NATO IAMD systems and equipment.
- Contributes to the monitoring of Technical / Logistic Support service provision with related Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or Programme of Work (POWs) with NATO Agencies and subordinate Commands.
There are no first line reporting responsibilities.
**D. ADDITIONAL DUTIES**
- The incumbent may be required to undertake TDY assignments both within and without NATO’s boundaries and be willing to work unsocial hours.
The work is normally performed in a typical Office environment. Normal Working Conditions apply. The risk of injury is categorised as: No risk / risk might increase when deployed.
