**Role Description**:**
The Head of Business Development will be responsible for**:
- Managing the overall planning and execution of activities to promote the presence of Greenomy in the global market.
- Leading the development and management of long term relationships with strategically important clients, partners and service providers.
- Developing and executing the client engagement process, proactively leading clients to provide feedback for service and technical improvement.
- Actively participating in industry and legislative working groups contributing to the development and promotion of sustainability best practices, regulations and frameworks.
- Designing, implementing, managing and continually improving client services functions, including client training and onboarding, customer service and call center.
- Creating, managing and successfully closing sales agreements with new clients.
- Contributing client and market feedback to product development, prioritisation and planning.
- Presentation of quarterly business development activities to the Board of Directors.
**Activities include**:
- Continuously monitoring market developments and regulatory changes related to sustainability reporting and analysis across multiple global jurisdictions.
- Management and execution of proof of concept projects to close deals.
- Building relationships with target client segments including Banks, Asset Managers, Auditors, Issuers and Corporations.
- Sales execution with new and existing clients
- Management of Client User Group workshops
- Creation of content for articles and blogs used on the Greenomy website, related digital marketing and for contribution to industry publications.
- Contribute to the planning, prioritisation and execution of the annual sales and marketing plan
- Developing and executing annual business development and marketing plans
- Identifying opportunities and proposing improvements to existing services and creating new services based on changes in customer demand and market trends related to sustainability related management and investment services.
- Providing advice and guidance to customers on the integration of sustainability factors into company strategy, policies as well as management and operational procedures.
- Acting as a company representative, both as a speaker and as a participant at industry events, conferences, seminars and webinars.
**Requirements**:
- At least 10 years of experience working in Financial Services in a business and/or strategy development role.
- Experience leading and developing robust teams, including direct management as well as management of virtual project teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Marketing or related fields.
- Previous experience in the development of Environment Social & Governance (ESG) / Sustainability policies and initiatives (ESG certifications are an advantage).
- Deep and broad business knowledge, including solid understanding of financial principles, business case justification, and key performance indicators.
- Experience in cross functional/departmental alignment and working in matrixed management structures. Proven track record to align and work with Sales, Services, Product, Support and other (internal) business units.
- Strong knowledge of the project lifecycle and the challenges related to project implementation (Prince II and Agile project management certification are an advantage).
- Outstanding oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills; understanding of how to communicate effectively to a broad audience and at various levels of the organisation.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Native English or French speaker - additional European languages are considered an advantage.
